मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार ने गुरुवार को रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव को बक्सर जिलांतर्गत रघुनाथपुर रेलवे स्टेशन का नाम बाबा ब्रह्मेश्वर नाथ रेलवे स्टेशन किये जाने को लेकर पत्र लिखा। रेल मंत्री को लिखे पत्र में सीएम नीतीश कुमार ने कहा है कि आपको अवगत कराना है कि बिहार के बक्सर स्थित ब्रह्मपुर प्रखण्ड में बाबा ब्रह्मेश्वर नाथ मंदिर है, जो भगवान शिव का अति प्राचीन एवं पौराणिक मंदिर है।

ऐसी मान्यता है कि भगवान ब्रह्मा ने इस मंदिर की स्थापना की थी, जिसके कारण इसका नाम ब्रह्मेश्वर स्थान पड़ा है। यह मंदिर मनोकामना-लिंग के रूप में प्रसिद्घ है। यहां जलाभिषेक के लिए वर्षभर श्रद्घालुओं का आगमन होता है।

पत्र में आगे लिखा है कि फाल्गुन एवं श्रावण माह में भारी भीड़ होती है। फाल्गुन में महाशिवरात्रि में यहां पशुओं का विशाल मेला भी लगता है। मंदिर के निकट ही रघुनाथपुर रेलवे स्टेशन है। जिले के बाहर से श्रद्घालुओं के आवागमन के लिए यह रेलवे स्टेशन बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। यहां के लोगों की यह हमेश इच्छा रही है कि रघुनाथपुर रेलवे स्टेशन का नाम ‘बाबा ब्रह्मेश्वर नाथ रेलवे स्टेशन’ कर दिया जाय। राज्य सरकार अनुशंसा करती है कि रघुनाथपुर रेलवे स्टेशन का नाम ‘बाबा ब्रह्मेश्वर नाथ रेलवे स्टेशन’ किया जाय।
